Transformational Coaching Practicum

The purpose of the Art of Transformational Coaching Practicum is to deepen participant’s ability to manifest the transformational model that was offered in the Art of Transformational Coaching workshop. It is a way to deepen and practice the principles with others who similarly want the same. The practicum is essentially a laboratory experience to explore, and refine one’s own skill as a transformational coach.

We meet twice monthly and currently have four groups going. One group meets on the first and third Monday of each month, while the other meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The fee for participation is $150/month and it is expected that you would be there for most sessions. If you miss a session, you are asked to watch the recording so you remain current. Each group is comprised of 5-7 participants.

The practicum is a powerful cauldron for learning and growth. The members tend to bond strongly with one another and become huge supporters of each members’ success.

The structure of the group is as follows:

One of the participants is the client and works on their own transformation while the rest of the group is that person’s coach. Each time we meet, one of the participants becomes the primary coach for that client and there is also a secondary coach named. These two become the focus of our attention as they coach the client. The rest observe and prepare to offer their observations. Along the way, I, or anyone, presses the pause button and key moments and we discuss what is going on with the client, and what we see the coach doing and offer observations and insight. We then debrief the whole session together toward the end. In this way we are all immersed in a transformational arc and can discuss and deepen our capacity.

Once our client is through their transformation, they move into coach role with the rest of us while someone else takes their turn as client. We have found that it takes 2-3 months for one person’s journey before moving to the next. The net effect of this process is both deepening of our individual capacities as well as accelerated transformation in each of our lives as coaches.

Testimonials

I'm finding the ATC practicum to be a safe and generous container for my coaching development, rich with the insight, skill, and experience of Keith and the other participants. I get a "second opinion" on my clients and valuable feedback for myself. I feel both challenged and held. -Chris

While participating in the Art of Transformational Coaching courses, I experienced a deep desire to keep going with the practices we learned. The model Keith has developed is so simple and elegant, and ... well, transformational! I experienced shifts in my own perspectives, an increase in energy, and positive direction in my own life -- confirmation that the model works with even the most stubborn of paradigms! This practicum is allowing me the chance to keep going into the exploration of transformational coaching, where we can practice in a safe space with like-minded coaches and Keith's gentle leadership. I feel like the practicum is the perfect complement to the initial training, helping us build our muscles for sustained and effective coaching now and in the future. -Genet

Thank you Keith. And thank you everyone for yesterday's rich and valuable session. I found myself reflecting on it as I wrapped up for the day, and was astounded by how much I learned and had to reflect on personally and professionally. With gratitude and joy -Rashmir.

I have been in the coaching world since the late 90's. I was certified as a coach through CTI in 2000. Since then I have done many trainings, which have each added to my level of skill regarding helping people to make long term deep changes. And I still felt that there was something essential that I needed in order to be even more effective at helping people to transform. This deep desire to be as effective as possible drew me to learn Keith's model. The model he has developed is simple and elegant, and highly effective. It has provided a wonderful structure to support the messy process of helping people to transform. And the practicum is a place where we get to do deep hands on work applying the model with one another, helping each other explore how to apply the model with our clients, as well as with ourselves. In all of my years coaching, I have never before had the opportunity to do this kind of hands on practice in an intimate group with the coach/facilitator who developed the model. It is an extraordinary gift that Keith is making himself available in this way, and he attracts very high quality people/coaches. We are all learning and growing together. I really appreciate the depth we go to with one another in the practicum, the safety we are co-creating with one another to learn and grow and look at ourselves. This is deep work, and being in an intimate group that is a safe place to be vulnerable and experiment and get high quality support and feedback is providing an extraordinary opportunity for me to grow and develop, and deepen my ability to be the best transformational coach I can be. I can not speak highly enough about the benefits of the practicum.

Thank you so much Keith!!!!

I am an executive coach based out of NY helping my clients to be the best leaders they can be.  Most of my work revolves around strategy, business acumen and leadership best practices.  However, lately I have noticed what helps my clients the most and makes a lasting impact is supporting them in changing their bad habits, unproductive behavior patterns and limiting beliefs.   This is much easier said than done!  In order to learn new tools and better equip myself to help my clients in these areas, I took Keith Moran’s Transformational Coaching workshop and consequently am participating in one of his practicums.   Keith teaches a concrete model that is easy to understand and use.  He is extremely intuitive and has vast real world coaching experience.  I have learned practical techniques from Keith that I use in my coaching which have resulted in positive outcomes for my clients.  I am grateful for the opportunity to have met Keith and learned so much from him.  I believe I am becoming a better coach as I continue to learn from Keith in every one of our sessions.
